BOYS FIRE REFORMATORY.
ATTEMPT TO ESCAPE. SEVERAL AT LARGE/ Received August 30, 1.20 p.m. PARIS, Aug. 29. Farmers armed with clubs and shotguns hurried to the aid of the police when 300 boys ' from a reformatory near Montpellier set fire to the building and attempted to escape. Several boys and members of the staff, including the director, were injured. Forty escaped. A dozen, eluding armed patrols, are still hiding in the woods.
