MANAWATU COMPETITIONS FESTIVAL.
The Manawatu Competitions Society’s festival, which is usually held in May, was .postponed this year owing to the infantile paralysis epidemic, and will now bo hold from the 23rd to 28tli August at the Opera House, Palmerston North. Tlio judges are as follow : —lnstrumental music, Mr Gordon Mcßeth (Wanganui); vocal music, Madame Spillane (Wanganui); dancing. Miss Cecil Tlall (Auckland); national dancing, Mrs lan Cameron (Masterton); elocution, to he appointed. Entries for the festival are due to close on Tuesday next with the secretary, Mr K. G. Chamberlain, National Bank Building, Palmerston North.
