(From Our Own Correspondent.) FOXTON, July 16.
Commissioner and Aire Adams, of ihc Salvation Army, will visit Foxton on Monday and will be the guests of Mr and Mrs It. X. Speirs. Mr and Airs W. Hart, of Lower Hutt. are the guests of Mr and Mrs W. E. Woodham. Rev. E. W. Burgin and Air E. Field arc in Wellington attending the Anglican Diocesan Synod. Playing on Easton Park ihc Town basketball team beat High School by 13 points to 7. At the usual monthly meeting of the Foxton Women’s Institute, presided over by Airs E. Brown (president), Aliss O. Harkncss was elected a member. Arrangements in connection with the annual birthday party were discussed and it was decided that tho function she id take the form of a. concert and dance. Two plays will be presented by the drama circle. A talk on “Life in Samoa” was given by Mrs Pcnkcrli. of Palmerston North.
