PENSIONS FOR M.P.’S.
INQUIRY TO BE MADE. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, July 15. The Prime Minister (Mr Neville Chamberlain) announced in the House of Commons that he had appointed a departmental committee to examine the practical aspects of a pension scheme for members of Parliament, the necessary funds to come from personal contributions of members, compulsory or voluntary, without any charge to the taxpayers. After the committee find reported he proposed to consult representative members of Parliament, he said.
