INFANTILE PARALYSIS.
TWp DEATH AT MELBOURNE. MELBOURNE, July 16. It is now revealed that two deaths from infantile paralysis have occurred in Melbourne, one on Thursday and the other a fortnight ago, when the outbreak was first reported. The Ormond State school, where the paralysis originated, and other schools in the affected area, are now closed. Three more respirators have been ordered urgently for the children’s hospital to cope with possible requirements. Although it is thought the outbreak is under control, another mild case was reported to-day in the same area.
