BOY SCOUTS.

ALL SAINTS’ TROOP. The annual concert of the All Saints Boy,Scout Troop, always an attractive event, drew a large audience on Thursday evening. Commissioner L. G. Call is directed the programme. The rise of the curtain revealed a pleasing scene, a large portrait of King George VI being the central figure, around which were grouped officers. Scouts and Cubs of the All Saints Group. Three plays were included in the list, as follow: —“Hospital Good Turn,” by the All Saints’ Cubs, and “Ten Little Nigger Boys” by boys from the All Saints’ Children s Home. There were amusing interludes m both sketches, and careful training was reflected. The play. “The Mystery of the Trunk,” a pirate story, was strikingly portrayed by Masters Allan Northev,'E. Bass. C. Looser and J. Sheldrake, these hoys giving a very realistic performance. The camp nre concerted’ item was well done, individual items receiving warm approval. Reid’s Band was also a favourite in the pro-jVamme. Songs by “l'? 8 Gubb Cub Peter Baker and Mr H Woodhouse. also a pianoforte solo bv Master B. Dalton, gave variety to the programme. Commissioner Lams voiced thanks to the audience and all who had given support to the conceit An apologv for absence was received from the vicar. Rev. M. Langstone, who was unable to he present.
