News reel pictures of the Duke of Windsor’s wedding will be shown on the Continent and in America, but the film industry has decided to ban pictures in Britain. It is stated that the decision is voluntary. but was arrived at in'eonformlty with what is understood to be the \V HiteivT.ll policy ot not affording the affair undue publicity. The film is reported to contain many interesting shots of the couple before and after the ceremony, hut there are no interior pictures of either the civil or the religious ceremony, ARRIVAL AT CASTLE. Anderson Jardine, who performed the religious ceremony at the wedding of the Duke of Windsor, was packed by 500 sightseers and hundreds more crowded the churchyard, when he married a Darlington coach-pa inter. Mr George Gamble, and Miss Doris Hayloft. He used the same prayer-hook that he used at the Duke of V indsor s wedding, but it now contains a flyleaf inscription in the Duke’s handwriting: “To the Jtev. Anderson Jardine, in remembrance. June 3, 1937. Edward, Duke of Windsor.” The Duchess also added her signature. Air Jardine says: “I will now put away the book. It is too sacred to use again.” , , . He added that only four letters had been received in criticism of his officiating at the Duke’s wedding.
