DUTY OF THE EMPIRE
AIR LLOYD GEORGE’S VIEW. (British Official Wireless.) Received June 7, 11,55 a.m. RUGBY. Juno 5. In a broadcast speech in a series of talks on the responsibilities of the Empire, Air Lloyd George said that there was hardly anything the Empire could not accomplish in the way ot dragging the world out of its present conditions of muddle and menace. If it had a clear aim, a steadfast purpose and readiness to take reasonable risks it could avoid certain catastrophe in the future. In order that it should exert its full power and authority in international relations it was necessary that there should be a carefully preconcerted policy between the constituent nations of the Empire. There were sign 4 that the most aggressive nations were becoming frightened by the tension that they had helped to create.
