(From Our Own Correspondent.) BUNNYTHORPE. Juno 2. Mr C. Osborne, of Nanncsted’s Line, has sold bis farm. Mrs Shute lias leased her farm. Mr ‘A. H. Faulkner lias sold lus tcn-acro section and dwelling. The football matcli between Bunnythorpe and Fcilding Old Boys, played at Bunnythorpe, was a bard and willing game. From -the kick-off Fcilding Old Boys were defending; when thyo finally broke away R. Hyde saved and found tho line. From a lino-out the visitors again improved their position, but failed to penetrate the defence. The Bunnythorpe forwards, led by Mitchell and Adamson, carried play well down the field and from a penally L. Duthic kicked a good goal from well out. Through hanging on too long a good chance to improve the scoro was lost by Bunnythorpo. From a scrum Armstrong fed his backs, and Geo got well down to pass to L. Duthie, who scored well out. The visitors made every effort to open their score, but R. Hyde, the Bunnythorpe full-back, who was playing a great game, saved. The second spell opened with willing play and a good lino kick by Riley put tho homo team on tho defence. A passing ‘rush by Bramwell and Thureton resulted m the latter scoring; Dunn converted. Biinnytliorpc were now getting the best of the lino-outs. Burton got a good lino-kick in, but a fast passing movement by Bramwell, Dunn, and Thurston put the visitors in a e-ood position and again R. Ilydo came to light with a -good tackle. The Bunnythorpe forwards carried all before them for the ball to go out at tho corner, and timo was called with the score, Bunnythorpo 6, Feilding Old Boys ,5. R. Hvclo, of Bunnythorpe, played an outstanding game, as did Bramwell, of Fcilding. Miff. Burgess, of Palmerston North, refereed. A quiet wedding took place during tho past week when Mrs Little, of Bunnythorpe was married to Mr Gundy, of Masterton. Mr and Mrs \V. Tomlinson, who have been on holiday in the Waikato, have returned home. Mrs Benge, qf the Hutt, is tho guest of her parents, Mr and Mrs J. Schoidt. Tho competition shoot between the lending and Bunnythorpe Miniature Riflo Clubs at Fcilding resulted in both teams from Bunnythorpe being defeated by a small margin.
