PREPARING FOR SPRINGBOKS. TRAINING ARRANGEMENTS. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, June 3. For a week before the first Rugby Test match between New Zealand and South Africa at Wellington on August 14, the South African team will train in the Wairnrapa and the New Zealand team at Otaki. An announcement to this effect was made to-night at a meeting of the executive of Flic New Zealand Rugby Union by the chairman (Mr S. S. Dean). Tlie chairman announced that it had now been decided that the Test match between New Zealand and South Africa in September be played at Eden Park, Auckland. The match had originally been arranged to be played on tho Showgrounds. The Canterbury Union wrote as follows: “Referring to your circular letter regarding writing articles for the Press, etc., my committee would appreciate your ruling in the case of a member of a club publishing a book dealing with the game.” The letter was considered in committee and Mr Dean later explained that so long as a Rugby plaver or official did not refer to current Rugby, no objection could be taken to bis writing a book about the game. Bylaw 46 of the Rugby Football Union reads: “No member of a committee of a union, and unless engaged in the profession of jouralism, no committeeman of any constituent body or club under tlie jurisdiction of a union or player shall write, give information or interview for the Press or broadcast on current Rugby football for remuneration.” Mr Dean said the New Zealand Union expected this rule to be carried out in its entirety.
