CHEAPER ORANGES.
AGREEMENT REACHED. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, June 2. The deadlock over oranges has ended as a result of the negotiations between the Cook Islands Department and the retail fruiterers. The Government has agreed to reduce tho price by Is a case; this makes the price from 13s to 20s, according to the count. The amended price has been accepted by the Retail Association, and oranges will now be-, available to the public at from four to six a shilling.
