SHOOTING ACCIDENT.
BOY WOUNDED IN HEAD. Per Press Association. HAMILTON, Juno 1. While out rabbit-shooting with companions to-day, Edward James Jamieson, aged 15 years, son of Mr A. E. Jamieson, of Te Poi, was shot in the back of the head. He was removed to a private hospital and later taken to the Waikato Hospital, where his condition is said to bo serious. The boy had been kneeling down near a rabbit burrow when a rabbit nppeared from another burrow. He hot at tho animal from a kneeling position, and as he rose from liis knees one of his companions behind him fired, the bullet lodging in the back of Jamieson’s head.
