FISH DISAPPEARING.

OPERATIONS OF TRAWLERS. WAIHI, Jun. 27. Twelve tons of fish, mostly sclinapper and terekihi, comprised the haul made by. a trawler from the end of the fishing reef, seven miles out from Bowentown, last week-end. The operations of trawlers, with the devastating seine nets, are taking heavy toll of the fish, and it appears that the supply, which, during the past few weeks, as the result of this wholesale pillage of the sea, is far from plentiful in Bowentown waters, will ultimately become so limited that it will be a rarity to catch any.
