CHAMPION BEATEN.
TENNIS AT AUCKLAND. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, jan. 28. M. R. Wilson (Eden and Epsom) beat D. C. Coombe (Wellington the New Zealand champion) in the third round of the Auckland tennis championships, 6 —l, 9 —7, 6—l. This was the second time this week Coombe had been beaten by an Aucklander, A. D. Brown having beaten him in the Wellington championships.
