A NAVAL WEDDING.

STOREY—ADDISON

St. Paul’s Pro-Cathedral, AVellington, was the scene of a wedding of unusual interest, yesterday afternoon, when Alison Raymond, only daughter of Air and Airs R. C. Addison, was married to Lieutenant Arthur Stanley Storey, R.A.N., only son of Air and Airs AV. H. Storey, of Leicester, England. The wedding was the first naval one in AA’ellington for three years, and a guard of honour was formed by officers of H.AI.S. Leith, through which the brido and bridegroom passed as they left the church to go to. their car, and with the many naval uniforms worn and the most attractive Locking, the wedding was a particularly spectacular one. Friends of the bride had used lovely hydrangeas in shades of pink and blue to decorate the interior of the church and a wedding-bell niado of flowers was hung over the doorway. Little Victorian posies of pink and blu© hydrangeas, tied with .white ribbon, were hung on the pew heads and big brass bowls of hydrangeas stood in the chancel. Canon Percival Janies officiated.

The bride, escorted by her father, wore a picturesque gown of rich cream taffeta. The skirt was very full from a high pointed waistline, and was stiffened at the hem with a wide band of quilting. The little tight bodice had a heart-shaped neckline, and the sleeves were in leg-o'-mutton style, full and upstanding on the shoulders, and tapering to the wrists. The very beautiful veil of old Limerick lace that she wore was a family heirloom lent by Lieu-tenant-Commander and Mrs J. S. Head, who had it sent from England for the occasion. It was arranged well back on her head, with a halo of orange blossom, and fell over the frock to form a second train. Her arm shower was composed of palest pink hydrangeas and gladioli, with streamers falling to the hem of her frock. The bride’s quartette of attendants, Misses Valmai Richardson, Georgette Handvside, ATargaret Gibbs, and Patricia ’Alarshall, wore most attractive frocks of buttercup taffeta, over which were long coats of stiffened net in the same shade. They -wore haloes of pale blue delphiniums and carried -shower bouquets of delphiniums and yellow roses. The bridegroom was attended by SubLieutenant Peter Williams, of H.AI.S. Leith, as b<#t man, and the groomsmen were Lieutenant-Commander J. S. Head, Lieutenant A. C. Duckworth, of H.M.S. Leith, and Lieutenant H. Phibbs, of H.M.S. AVhalcakura. The young couple will spend four weeks in New Zealand before leaving for Sydney, where Lieutenant Storey will join H.AI.A.S. Swan, and later H.AI.A.S. Canberra.
