TOURIST CRUISE.
AUSTRALIANS IMPRESSED. Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, Dec. 9. The liner Maungamii, which is engaged in a tourist cruise around the South Island, arrived at 2 o’clock this morning from Sydney with l~i passengers. On Sunday the vessel visited Milford and other West Coast sounds Although the weather was unpleasant, the tourists were most impressed with the grandeur of the sounds One declared that the excursion would be of inestimable value in advertising the scenic attractions of the Do-
minion. _ The Maungamii also called at Stewart Island. Prominent passengers include Mr E. F. Thomas, a wellknown New South Wales lawyer; Dr. A Martncll Aspinall, Sydney; Professor A. H. Charters, Professor M History at the University of Sydney; and Mr J. W. R. French, manager of the city branch of the Bank of New South Wales, Sydney.
