The first tennis match of the season was played on tlio Sanson court.-! to-day, when a team from Rongotea visited the local players. Tlio Sanson ladies fielded a full team, but owing- to seasonal work only two men were available. The results, which were very much in favour of Rongotea. were as follow, Rongotea players being mentioned nra ( —Women's singles : Miss G. Kadcs beat Miss Gwon Sanson, 6—4; Miss T.
