COLLEGE STREET SCHOOL.

LADIES’ COMMITTEE. A meeting of the College Street School ladies’ committee was held last night, Mrs J. H. Whyte presiding. Also present were Mesdames Watchorn, Christmas, Ross. McLeod. Templeton, Drake and Mills. Apologies fo> absence were received from Mcsdames Livingstone, Nicholson, Duckworth, King, Holdsworth, Gusli aiid Aiken. It was decided to send a letter of thanks to Mrs Bale for a donation of stockings. A vote of appreciation was accorded Mrs Mills a.nd Mrs King for giving a bridge party to defray the expenses of the ice cream stall at the forthcoming gala dav. £2 6s having been raised. Stallholders reported satisfactory progress. The resignation was received with regret of Mrs McGilvray, who has left on a visit to Australia.. Invitations from the Terrace End and Central .School Committees to their gala days were accepted. A combined meeting of the men’s and ladies’ committees will be held early in December.
