POLICE TRANSFERS.
CHANGES AT PALMERSTON NORTH. A NEW SENIOR-SERGEANT. Notice of his impending transfer has been received by Senior-Sergeant 1. Moriarty, who has been stationed at the Palmerston North Central Police Station since March of last year. Senior-Sergeant Moriarty has not yet been advised what his future post will be Some years ago he was stationed in the district office here for several years. Sergeant J. Mclntyre, who is now at Tauranga, will be transferred on promotion to succeed Senior-Sergeant Moriarty. , , Constable R. Paterson, wno has been eleven years at Palmerston North (five years as assistant district clerk and six as district clerk), is to be transferred to take charge at Taupo. Constable R. T. Kearton, of Christchurch, is to take Constable Paterson’s place.
