HAWERA SHOW

Exhibitors from the Manawatu and adjacent districts competed with much success at the Egmont A. and P. Society’s Show at Hawera, this week. The championships in the Jersey section were secured by Mr P. A. Anderson (Levin). Ellis Bros. (Bulls) were awarded all the Southdown championships. VO6S Bros. (Karere) exhibited a Romney Marsh champion' ewe and reserve champion ram. The champion Tamworth boar came from the stud of Mr H. E. Fieldhuse (Rongotea) while Mr G. M. Whitelock (Newbury) exhibited the reserve champion Large Black. Cheltenham Dairy Coy. were awarded the reserve champion in Berkshire boars. All these exhibitors secured class awards, ns also did Air R. L. Horn (Ohau) for Jerseys, Messrs R. V. Brown and Son (Weraroa), for Milking Shorthorns, Mr G. H. Vickers (Levin) for saddle horses, Miss D. Young (Kairanga) for saddle horses, Mr S. R. Perry (Feilding) competition in the ring, Mr J. J. Waller (Awapnni) ring competitions, Mrs A. McDonald (Awapnni), ring competitions, Mr L. H. Collinson (Palmerston North), for saddle horses, Mrs S. Wiggins (Ashliurst) home industries and Mrs C. W. Turner (Palmerston North) home industries.
