ABERDEEN ANGUS SALES.

IMPORTANT NEW STUDS FORMED, Messrs Wright, Stephenson and Go., Ltd., report that, several now stud herds of Aberdocn Angus cattle have recently boon established in tho Manawatu and Waikato and an extensive addition to his stud has also been made by the Auckland breeder, Mr J. R. Self, of Fnpaioetoc. The latter breeder, who imported the famous champion bull, Bannar Quality, from North America two years ago and who has imported from the same source no lr*s than 15 head of female stock of outstanding merit, has just purchased 25 hoifers, two and throe-year-olds, from Motere* Station, Waipawa. Scnto notable purchases have also been mado from the Turihau herd of Mr H. B. Williams, Gisborne. Messrs Morrison Bros., of Tauwharo, Hamilton, who purohased for 600 guineas the great prize-winning three-year-old bull. Blackcap Echo Quality, at the nuclion sale of the North American cattle bold at Auckland on September 24, secured from the Turihau herd a magnificent line of 40 two-year-old heifers to mate with this sire. An exceptional purchase of fotnalcs for foundation stock has also boen made by Mr J. A. Mitchell, of Longhorn, who secured tho pick of six of the females in tho Turihau stud. Those females comprise three young cows u ith calvos at foot by the Royal champion bull, Glenearnock King 3rd, one three-year-old heifer, and two two-ycar-old heifers. Since their selection they havo been mated to the three imported bulls, Bannar Quality Again, a son of Barmar Quality, who was junior champion at the lowa Stale Fair last year; Energy Barkley, a noted prize-winning bull in North America, from where ho was imported eighteen months ago; and Eric Bar 2nd, who was purchased by Mr Williams at tho recent sale of imported bulls. To mate iri the future with this high-class foundation collection of females Mr Mitchell selected and purchased at tho Aberdeen Angus breeders’ show and sale at Daiinevirkc the prize-winning two-year-old bull, Waterman of Waiterenui. He should prove a great sire in Mr Mitchell’s Santa Rosa Aberdeen Angus stud.
