]f you paint your keyhole with a mixture of calcium sulphide and equal parts of turpentine and boiled oil, you will have a luminous keyhole. To remove the smell of smoke from a room, place a bowl of water on the floor overnight, and in the morning the smell will have disappeared. To remove lain s|>ots from felt hats, take off the ribbon band or trimming. Cover the whole bat with pipe-clay, leave on for a day or two, and brush off with a stiff brush, in the open air.
