HANDCART WITHOUT LIGHT.
UNUSUAL CHARGE. At the Magistrate’s Court, to-day, before Mr J. L. Stout, S.M., Chung Lung, was fined 10s, with 12s costs, on a charge of using a handcart without lights at night on Botanical Road. Senior-Sergeant Moriarty stated that at 6.30 p.m. on September 25 defendant was using the handcart when Mr James Bevan was forced to swerve suddenly in a car he was driving, the motor vehicle going into a ditch and being badly damaged.
