Later the Mayor and other councillors tried to divine water, some being successful. . Cr Tennent related an experience he had had at a picnic. A woman lost a gold ring and, working on the same principles as with water divining, lie restored the ring to the owner. It is expected that a report will be made to the City Council oil the inspection.
