HOKOWHITU SCHOOL.
LADIES’ COMMITTEE
The ladies’ committee of the Hokowliitu School held their monthly meeting in the school, the following were present:—Mrs Cooper (in the chair), Mrs Olds (secretary) and Mesdames, Larsen, Harrod, Stephens, Cox, Taylor, Fleck and Davies. An apology for absence was received for Mrs Shields. The date of the gala day has been altered to Saturday, December 5. Further arrangements were made for this day. Mrs Davies offered to donate a dressed doll and Mrs Stephens a pair of silk stockings for the gala. The committee decided to conduct a jumble sale at the school, stallholders being appointed. The committee feels confident that the sale will be a great success again this year. A leap year dance and social will be held later.
