(From Our Own Correspondent.) MILSON. Sept. 15. The Milson Progressive Association held their monthly meeting in the hall during the week-end. Mr C. Bennetto occupied the chair, there being also present Messrs Ferguson, Britton, Cumniing, and Gilbert (secretary). After a discussion concerning the charges made for electric current since tho 6plit coils were removed from tho meters, it was decided to write a letter to tho Minister through the local member of Parliament (Mr J. Hodgens) protesting against the increased charges now being imposed. A letter was received from the Women’s Institute asking for more seating accommodation to bo provided in the hall as the present seating is not sufficient for requirements, and it was decided to approach the department for tho timber to make tho necessary forms. Correspondence was also received from tho folk dancing circle of tho Women’s Institute asking for a reduction in the hall rents, and it was decided to inform them that it was regretted that a reduction could not bo made, as it was considered the rents were on a very low scale at present. A letter is to be forwarded to tho. General Manager of Railways drawing his attention to the condition of tho streets in tho settlement, and asking that they be attended to. It was decided to procure cocoanut matting for tho hall. Accounts amounting to £3 16s Id wore passed for payments
