RANGITIKEI.
AIARTQN, Julv 13. The ground was not in the best of condition when the Alarton Harrier Club conducted its third Todd Cup race on Saturday and numerous falls wero recorded. The course was a championship one of 6$ miles and the placing® were: L. Smith 1, A. Gorrie 2, D. Smith 3. G. Bromley secured fastest time, 41 minutes. As a result of the run, A. Gorrie and W. Edge are leading with 11 points each, followed by Griffen with 12. Holden 14 and L. Smith 15, for the Todd Cup.
A fault which occurred in the electric power supply in Alarton this morning eventually caused a. complete cut-out from 1 p.m. to 2.10 p.m. The Power Board’s experts were at a loss to locate the trouble. The Hunterville area was then isolated, and it was believed tho fault might be located there.
