STRAINED FEELING
TRENDS IN JAPAN. SEQUEL TO DISPUTES. MISSIONARY'S VIEW. (United Press Association—J3y Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) Received July 14, 10.50 a.m. SYDNEY, July 14. “So strained is the feeling in Japan against foreigners that it is possible that persecution of Christian missionaries is not far off,” said Aliss K. Boyell, a missionary from Japan, in addressing the Church Alissionary Society.
She added that the feeling in Japan had become so strained following the talk about tariffs and trade that the Japanese felt they had very few friends outside their own country.
