INSURANCE AGAINST CHANCE. Received July 2, 1 p.m. ' LONDON, July 1. There are heavy insurances in the city agaiust the chance of an announcement of the betrothal of the King before tho Coronation, as a result of which the arrangements of thousands of tradespeople would bo seriously effected. So strong is the rumour that a rate of 30 guineas per cent was taken out by one company, whereas three days ago the rate was 9 per cent. Lloyds’ representative states that all insurance' suggestions arc carefully considered, and it must be proved that the insuring iiarty would definitely stand to lose if a certain occurrence took place. Gambling merely lor the sake of gambling will not he allowed.
