OROUA DOWNS.

(From Our Own Correspondent. OROUA DOWNS, July 1. \ raft evening was held in the hall on Monday and was well attended showing the popularity of the young couple to whom it was tendered, Mr and Mrs G. Millard. Dancing was the main attraction, the music being supplied by a professional orchestra, while Mrs H. Oliver played for extra dances. Mr J. Stratford, pesident ot tlie Oroua Downs Football Club,- presented Mr Millard with a set of carvers on behalf of the local team, of which Mr AJiliard had been an active member. Mr Strattord also referred to Mr Millard’s capabilities as a player. On behalf of the residents of tho district and friends, Mr Strattord presented Mr and Mrs Millard with a wet filled* table of kitchen gifts. Musical honours were accorded the guests., Ilic •fathering was brought to a close in the early hours. Messrs H. Oliver snd Jr. Howard were ALC.’s.
