A Gazette announcement states that Mr J. M. Stout, S.M., of Palmerston North, has been appointed chairman of the Oroua Licensing Committee in succession to Mr J. G. L. Hewitt, S.M. Rev. Hugh Beggs, Moderator of the Presbytery of anganui, is at present visiting Palmerston North in connection with the golden jubilee of the Presbyterian Church at Awahuri. Mr Boggs' is the guest of his brother, Mr L. T. Beggs, of Roy Street.
