(From Our Own Correspondent.) STANWAY, May 14. An interesting cribbago match between Kiwitea and Stanway East teams was played in the Hall. The first phase resulted, Kiwitea 13, Stanway East 12, and tho game finally resulted: Stanway East 26, Kiwitea 24. A meeting of the Ping Pong Club was held on Wednesday evening. Mr C. Christ’fn presiding. Mr D. Humphries (secretary) presented the balance-sheet, showing a balance of £2. The club hopes to receive liberal support this winter, and judging by tho enthusiasm displayed, a successful season is assured.
Miss Iris Craine, of Solway College, is spend ng the school vacation with her parents at “Mona Vale.” Miss Joyce Nitseho, of Nga Tawa School, Marton. is at home with her parents at Dunolly. Mr and Mrs Nitsche’s friends will regret to learn that their son Noel has been admitted to hospital at Palmorstoi North, where ho underwent an operation for appendicitis. Miss Jean Christian, who is a pup 1 of tho Palmerston North'Girls' High School, is homo for the holidays. Miss A. Marshall’s friends will bo interested to hear that she is now a member of the nursing staff of tho Palmerston North Hospital. Miss It. Miles is now in Palmerston North after being the guest of her sister, Mrs A. Marshall. Miss Margaret Dermer is spending her vacaticn in Wellington. Blisses V. and P. Green are on holiday in Wellington. Blisses M. ad J. Rosser, A. Green, and D. Callingham attended tho W.D.F.U. educational week in Palmerston North. The friends of Miss M. Guv are vory pleased to note her success at tho Manawatu Competitions Society’s festival.
