EMINENT CONDUCTOR.
VISIT TO NEW ZEALAND. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, May 15. An eminent English musician and conductor, Dr. Malcolm Sargent, has agreed to conduct three concerts in Wellington when lie visits this city next August. A cablegram to this effect has been received by Mr W. E. Caldow, secretary of the Royal Wellington Choral Union. The performances will consist of one symphony concert, one choral performance for which Mendelssohn’s “Elijah” has been selected, and one miscellaneous concert.
