MAMAKU TIMBER HILL.
PREPARING FOR REOPENING. ROTORUA, May 15. Preliminary work in connection with the opening of the State mill at Mamaku is at present being undertaken by about five men who are carrying out an overhaul of the machinery at the mill. It is understood that no date has yet been definitely fixed for the resumption of.cutting operations, but it will probably l>e some weeks before the overhaul of the machinery will have reached a stage when tlid mill will be able to operate.
