GRADING OF TEACHERS. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, May 16. The possibility of substituting something better than grading for primary school teachers was discussed by the New Zealand Educational Institute The chief inspector (Mr W. L. Mcllwraith) took part in the discussion. He said lie did not think they could limit schools to 400 pupils, and advised that the institute should frame a remit on lines that could be adopted. The executive’s recommendations were finally referred to all branches for an expression of opinion.
