CINNAMON DROPS

Boz. flour, 4oz. butter, 1 teaspoonfill baking powder, 3oz. fine sugar, li teaspoonfuls of ground cinnamon, 1 egg, little grated nutmeg, little milk, and about 1 doz. almonds. Sift the flour and baking powder, rub in the butter. Add sugar, spice and nutmeg. Add the beaten egg and milk, keeping back a little for glazing, and mix to a dry dough. Shape into round balls, using floured hands. Place an a greased tin, brush with remainder ot egg, and sprinkle with sugar. Place a small piece of almond on top and hake in a hot oven from 8 to 10 minutes.
