EXPANDED ESTIMATES. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, April 11. Considerable interest has been aroused by the Chancellor of the Exchequer’s announcement before the House of Commons adjourned for the Easter recess that he anticipated that the additional requirement for tfie Royal Air -Force this year would be in the region of £10.000.000 Although the figure is provisional, this is the first indication the public lias had regarding the supplementary estimates which the new defence programme iyill necessitate. Air Chamberlain added that the air estimates for 1937 and 1938 would substantially exceed the aggregate of the two years’ original and supplementary estimate.
