HOROWHENUA
(From Our Own Correspondent.; OTAKI, April 8. Miss Hole, who has ben in. the Hawke’s Bay district, has returned to Otaki, and will take up her duties as dental nurse at the Otaki State School. Rev. J. R, Nelson, who has been indisposed for the past month, is now greatly improved, but it will be a while before lie resumes his usual duties. Among the passengers who left by •the Wanganella for Sydney on Monday was Mrs W. H. Reynolds, Mrs R. Thomson, who has been in delicate health for some time, was on Monday taken to the Palmerston North Hospital for treatment. The annual meeting of the Horowhenua Hockey Association was held at Otajri last night. Delegates were present from two Levin clubs, Shannon, Otaki, Rahui. Oliau and Paraparaumu clubs. Officers were elected as follow: —Patron, Mr L. G. Lowry, M.P.; president, *Mr H.ijtNicolson (re-elected); vice-presidents, Messrs F. Parker, J. McCaw, D. S. MacKenzie, L. J. Fitzgerald, G. Rundle, J. Gillespie. T. Wehipeihana, K. Davies, 0. Howell and J. D. Howell; secretary, Mr J. Porter; treasurer, Mr PI. L. Witcliell (ro-electcd); auditor, Mr B. McAllister (re-elected); delegate to association, Mr Burnell Browno (re-elected); representative selectors, Messrs F. Ryder und A. Adsett (mon), Mrs' Porter and Mrs Seal (ladies).
