OHAKEA.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) OHAKEA, April 8. The third annual meeting of the Ohakea. Football Club was held in the Ohakea Hall on Tuesday ovoning. Mr H. Rodpath presiding in the absence of the president (Mr F. 0. Bailey). There was a good attendance. The report as presented showed that the season had produced many good games and the club teams had had a fair measure of success. Tho financial affairs of tho club were in a sound state. Refcrnce was made to the demise of Messrs J. MoKelvio’, L. Moffalt, L. Sanson, and F. W. Tostevin, and as a mark of respect the mooting stood in silence. Thanks were accorded tho club’s officials, and supporters, tho Press, Mrs J. A. Bailey, Sub-Union officials, and referees, and the first aid men. The report and balance-sheet wore adopted. The election of officers resulted as follows: —Patron, Dr F. J. Watson; president, Mr A. Pedersen; vice-presidents, Messrs F. O. Bailey, E. Ingram, S. Quinlan, J. Taylor, Cl. Emery; secretary, Mr G. Robinson; management committee, Messrs K. Bailey, P. Ellery, E. Ingram, L. Pederson; delegate, Mr A. Pedersen; selection committee, the coach; referees, Messrs P. Richardson and K. Bailey; coach, Mr G. Robinson; gatekeeper, Mr W. Robinson; first-aid official, Mr H. Redpnth; social committeo, Messrs N. Ingram, E. Ingram, L. Pedersen, A. Pedersen, P. Ellery, L. Ackroyd. It was decided to enter a junior team and to hold tho first practice next, Saturday. A vote of thanks .was accorded, the rotiring- eecretary (Mr I. N. Leet) who had been tho secretary for the past three years. Mr Gordon Gray has been spending a short holiday as tho guest of Mr and Mrs J. Ellery. Mr Gray has now recovered from his reecnt accident in Wanganui and hopes to return to work shortly. _ The friends of Miss Joyce Pedersen will be pleased to learn that she is now making satisfactory progress after her recent operation. Mr and Mrs H. Masters will bo leaving next week for a motor tour thi'ough tho Rotorua and Auckland districts and expect to be absent a fortnight.
