Cameron Memorial Fund will benefit to the extent of approximately £3OO as a result of the match. Australia taught the South Africans another lesson. They were superior in every department of the game. They outfielded the Transvaal men, out-hit them and out-thought them. The outstanding players were O’Brien, as pitcher, and Darlilng, McCabe and Barnett as batters. The most spectacular catch of the day was by Grimmett, wlien ho nonchalantly put up his ungloved right hand and held a long fly in the deep right-field. Four thousand persons attended in glorious sunshine.
