FREEZING WORKERS.
MOVE FOR UNITY. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, March 17. Representatives from the Freezing Workers’ Union throughout tile Dominion held a conference to-day to consider proposals designed to bring about a greater measure of un'ty >" the organisation of their affans. the conference, which was presided over by Mr F J. Cleary (Hastings), was opened by the Minister of Labour (Hon. H. T. Armstrong), who appealed for industrial unity. After a full discussion a committee was appointed to bring down a report as to how unity could best be obtained The committee’s report was submitted later .to the conference and adopted unanimously. It was stated by the spokesman for the conference that the basis adopted would give the men employed in works an opportunity to determine the form of organisation they would adopt in the iutuie.
