(From Our Own Correspondent.) LONGBURN, March 15. The fifth annual meeting of the Longburn Miniature Rifle Club was hold at the residence of Air F. S. Birch. There was a good attendance and Mr Birch was in the chair. The report and balance-sheet wore road, showing that the club’s finances were in a sound state. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year:—Patron, Mr J. C'allcsen; president, Mr 1 1 . 8Birch; vice-presidents, Messrs T. Ormsby, A. Nicol, W. R. Kells, W. Campbell. G. Mabey, H. W. Bowler, J. Mahoney, E. A. Senrle and A. Oliver; secretary, Mr .J. Aldorsley; club captain, Mr W. | Birch; vice-captain, Mr W. Grace; coinj mittce, Messrs E. Jewell, C. Francis, H. Mabey, N. Woodill, G. Hoffman, and Airs i Godfrey; handicapper, Mr H. Mabey; seI lector, Air W. Birch; coaches, Alessrs W. I Birch. W.,. Grace, IP. Alabcy and N. Woodill; range officer, Air E. L. Jewell; target officers, Alessrs A. Gale, C. 1‘ rands, and J. Stephenson; target markers, Air N. Woodill, Airs Godfrey; telescope officers, I Alessrs G. Hoffman, A. Leitch, W. Grace j and H. Cohr; delegates to Alanawatu ATiniaturc Rifle Association, Alessrs W. Birch and AV. Grace. It was decided that subscriptions and shooting fees remain the same as last season. The club has again decided to enter the New Zealand Miniature Rifle Association matches. A I vote of thanks was accorded Mr F. S. ! Birch, who will donate two medals which j will be -shot for each week, and a small , prize to the shooters who hold the medals ; the most times during the season. A vote 1 of thanks was also accorded Air G. Hoffj man for donating prize money for the first two nights. It was decided to hold tho opening night on AJarch 23.
