MANAWATU TOURNAMENT. TRYING CONDITIONS. Play in the annual tournament of the ivlumuvatu Croquet Association, which commenced yesterday, proceeded very slowly this liiorning. Conditions were very trying to players, owing, to the cross wind, it being almost' impossible to make'any breaks. There was no outstanding play. _ Airs Burnett is acting as a .referee in addition to those already named. Following are further results: — OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP. First Life.
