FATAL INJURIES.
AT MAORI VILLAGE. Per Press Association. ROTORUA, Jan. 20. Fatal Injuries were received by a Native named Haira Whareaitu aged 18. when lie was struck by *i truck while running across the roadway in the vicinity of Whakarewaiewa late this afternoon. W. Costello the driver of the truck, swerved sharply to the right side of the road in an effort to avoid an accident, hut W liarcuitu was struck and received severe head injuries. Alter being attended by a doctor lie was ordered into hospital, but died before admittance to the institution.
