WOMEN’S DIVISION.
CONFERENCE CONCLUDES The conference of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union, \\hioh has been in progress at Hamilton concluded on Friday., when about IdU delegates from all over New Zealand and members of the "Women’s Division made a tour of places of interest in the Camdridge district. The weathei was propitious and there was a spirit of relaxation throughout the day which made it a successful and enjoyable one. . When interviewed by a reporter,_ Mrs A. B. Smith (Wellington), national secretary, said an outstanding feature of the conference was the friendly and cordial spirit which prevailed among members and which made every phase of the programme exceedingly pleasant. The amount of organising work which had been performed by Mrs J. J. Ryburn and her able assistants was amazing. they liad made the visitors feel very much at home and had ensured the smooth running of the programme. “1 cannot tell you a great deal about the division as I have been secretary only three months, but we have got through much useful work which should bear fruit at the animal conference in July. Mrs.C. Jv. AA ilsoii, our new president guided our deliberations very capably indeed and was an ideal president in every way, added Mrs Smith. Mrs J. J. Ryburn, Waikato, piesident of the Women’s Division, spoke highly of the line spirit displayed by the country, women who had come long distances to show their practica interest in the movement and added that the week would be' a memoiable one.
