SATURDAY HALF-HOLIDAY.
PETITION TO PARLIAAIENT. “I have made enquiries with reference to the hearing of the Saturday half-holiday petition, but am informed by the chairman of the Public Petitions Committee that they are not ready yet to hear the evidence,” stated Mr J. A. Nash, AI.P., who presented the petition from Palmerston North to the House of Parliament, in a letter to Air T. B. Worrall, who recently asked Air Nash what the present position was in regard to the petition. Air Nash also stated that he expected to receive further information next week from the chairman of the committee.
