OVERSEAS SHIPPING.
SOUTH ISLAND CLAIMS. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Sept. 26. Delegates from Nelson, Buller, Reefton, Marlborough, Smith Marborougli, Canterbury, Otago, and the Southland Progress League attended a conference to-day, the first to be held for five years. Many remits were brought forward, the principal dealing with the endeavours being made to bring overseas cruise ships to the South Island.
