(From Our Own Correspondent.) WHAKARONGO, Sept. 27. The fortnightly euchre and danco gatherings are proving as popular as ever, as there was a large crowd present 6n Tuesday night. The following players annexed the prizes:—Ladies, Mr* Gore 1, Airs J. Itornlcy 2 men, Mr Radomeki, junr., and Ah Walkicy tied for first place and so divided the first and second prizes; consolations, Airs J. Christiansen and Air J. Roinley. . ■ Mrs R. Vautier is the guest of her daughter, Mrs A. Lancaster, Te Awamutu. Air H- Fitzhcrberi, who ha* been the guest of Air and Alio Wilson, has returned to Wanganui. A frost was experienced here on Thursday morning.
