WRESTLING MATCH
McCREADY AND ANDRESEN. ARRANGEMENTS FOR BOUT. Endeavours are at present being made by the Palmerston North Wrestling Association to match Earl McCready and Ole Andresen in a professional bout. Should the fixture eventuate, and there is considered to be every probability that it will, the match will take place at the Opera House on Friday next, October 4. This should he one of the most attractive contests available in New Zealand because of McCready’s formidable record and Andresen’s skill as a grappler, a taste of which he gave in his recent amazing display of leg holds against Glenn AVade at Palmerston North. BOUTS AT HASTINGS. Three Palmerston North wrestlers, R. De Cleene, A. Mercer and E. Anthony, left to-day for Hastings under the management of Mr AVeston J. Smith to fulfil engagements in amateur preliminaries to a professional bout which is to be refereed there to-night by Mr W. Nicholls (Palmerston North).
