ENGLISH OAK FOR THE LIONHEART.
MRS BALDWIN’S GIFT. Mr and Mrs Baldwin, when making a tour of tho Chateau country in the Loire Valley on the way to Aix-les-Ilains, recently, visted the Abbey of Fontevrault, which contains the graves of King Richard Coeur de Lion and his father, King Henry Fitz Empress. They spent some time in visiting the Abbey and Mrs Baldwin, before leaving, kid sprays of oak leaves on the Royal tombs. Reuter reports that the oak sprays were brought from a forest in England in which the two Kings used to hunt more than seven centuries ago.
